you might remember this guy from about a year ago. i’ll give you a hint: rockin’ hair. javi and his parents are leaving in a few weeks to visit family in Spain, so pictures were in order to share with loved ones across the pond. javier was adorable as ever, and i couldn’t stop smiling at his crinkly eyes everytime he grinned.

i always enjoy meeting up with my nieces for a photo session. really, it feels more like playtime - i just happen to be holding a camera at the time. here are a few from the end of February i thought i’d share.

it’s that time of year again, and in the past few weeks, i’ve met up with both my brother’s family and a few friends of a co-worker for some holiday card pictures. these are a few of my favorites from the lot, and despite the suboptimal shooting conditions both days, we were all able to share a laugh or two.

you might remember Presleigh from a photo session earlier this year (really…how could you forget her darling face!). this past weekend we met up for a mini session to get a few pictures for christmas. as always, we had a blast hanging out. i thought i’d share a few of my favorites.

i met up with my cousin ruben and his mom a few weeks back for a few senior photos. we hit the fall colors just right, and it made for some pretty awesome backgrounds. this past weekend, we met up at the nekoosa high school for part two of the photo shoot where we pretty much had free reign of the place. i can’t begin to say how pumped i am with the results of him in his football gear (as you will see by how many pictures of him in it i post here). good luck on your senior year kiddo!

after a few reschedules, i met up with some friends last week for a few new family portraits. we hit the timing just right with the fall colors, the weather was amazing, and asher was on his best behavior. i’d say the night was a smashing success.

this one i was nervous about. i’ve had many previous interactions with maycie when her mom brought her to the old job, and every single time, she’d run away from me in terror. but hidden behind my ever larger beard, i don’t think she recognized me. and within minutes, she was laughing, playing, and totally comfortable around me. WHEW!! here are a few of my favorites from the evening, and i can’t help but grin every time i think back upon maycie’s crazy antics throughout the shoot. she was a riot!

finally, this one. i have no idea why she started posing like this, but i have to think her mother’s genes are at play here…

where do i begin with these two? fun, witty, adorable. monday night, i met up with another old co-worker, her husband, and hannah & corb to make some pictures. the park we strolled through was amazing, i laughed more times than i can remember, and had just a fantastic evening. well done you two on raising two wonderful children.

and my favorite - hannah found her name scratched into the bridge and well, you can see her excitement.

this week, the best young paddlers from over 30 countries are in town competing in the the 2012 junior canoe slalom world championships. since i had the day off, i headed down to watch them practice for a bit. i was amazed at the strength and skill these young athletes had in some very tough water conditions. very cool stuff indeed!
